Supercharged Military Power Wagon Ambulance

This was a very interesting Military Power Wagon that seemed to be restored very well until you notice that it has a great big blower sticking out of the hood.

Then you look closer and notice that it is a 4.3 Chevrolet V6 engine in it to boot? However any way you want to look at it it’s pretty cool looking but must be different to drive?

Turns out to be owned by a local scrap yard guy that also has a sweet FordPick Up street rod too. That one also has an interesting engine combo in it too. While this Military Ambulance has an awesome engine powering it partly because it is a completely wrong engine for the vehicle. Wrong in that it is a V6 or wrong that it is a chromed and blown one 😕

Next time I see this vehicle I will have to ask what the transmission is? Is it still a manual trans or is it now an auto like the M725 Kaiser-Jeep that I had picked up off of a local police department with a LT1 Turbo 400 combination. Then I also have to ask if it still has the stock manual drum brakes cause that also sucked with my M725 🙁

Back to the 32′ or so Ford Pick Up street rod that he owns. It is powered by a Flathead V8 but, there is nothing to spectacular about that until you see when the intake it is using. It has a chromes out Hilborn Fuel Injection unit on it. However as you look closer you see it has been converted to an electronic fuel injection system on it 😯

I have always wanted to try that with an older engine like a Flathead to see how it would run with a modern induction system like this 😕
