Muffler Bearings are REAL! Why, because a Turbocharger is considered a muffling device. Anything from Heavy Diesel Trucks used them and had Muffler cast into the housings.

This way trucks could run straight pipes and not fail inspections for having no mufflers installed on the exhausts.

If you race a car at Raceway Park Englishtown New Jersey then you must have mufflers on your car. Not only that but, you are banned from having single chamber mufflers too.

However if you run a Turbocharger on your race car/truck then you can run a straight pipe. Why 😕 because the Turbo is considered a Muffling Device and now you can just run a straight pipe out wherever you want.

Yes they are still loud at idle but, when you spool up the turbo then it cuts down on the volume quite a bit, along with making BOOST 🙂
