I used to do lift kit installs way back in the late 80’s into the early 90’s and the Jeeps were one of the best to do a lift kit on. They were very simple to do because they had leaf spring suspension making it very easy to do as long as the U-bolts were not all rusted. Then you would be forced to cut them with a whizzer wheel or a torch. Then adding to the time it took to remove the old springs. That and if it was that rusty then the shackle bolts are not going to want to come off either.

Either way, it is a heck of a lot easier that doing any Ford lift kit or any later Chevrolet with independent front suspension. Those both make it a 2 day ordeal to do a lift kit as long as it isn’t a body lift. Still not sure what tires are on it cause I didn’t stop to really look but I can tell you they make 44’s look small 😯

Anyway back to the CJ lift. Well I did not do this lift or have anything to do with it. Just happened to be lucky enough to be at a cruise when this showed up. I mean with a supercharged small block Chevy under it’s hood and a matching super huge spare tire hanging on the back it makes you wonder if this Jeep had ever seen mud off road? It’s not a trailer queen obviously but, then again if it never go’s off road what would you call it 😕
