Like the title says it’s a bunch of Chassis Dyno fails with one that I Video’d myself quite a few years ago!

Yes Chassis Dyno’s are a great place to sit and wait for an EPIC FAIL to happen and the best part is it’s not flying down the drag strip away from you 🙂 This was you are up close and personal for the entire event.

The one I took in ’06 or ’07 was the Blue WRX on the TurboTrix Dyno. However it was the owner installed Nitrous Oxide system that did the former Fastest Stock Turbo/Engine WRX in. So I was taking the video even though the owner said he ad enough videos of his car on the Dyno. Then all of a sudden when the NOS switch was hit, BABOOM as the connecting rods shattered the case! I think it hit 390 foot pounds of torque at around 3500rpm for the split second it was running. So it would seem someone had installed slightly some large Nitrous Jets in hopes of setting some new records.

I was also there when a EVO was on the Dyno and one of the Straps snapped but I wasn’t taking a video at that point in time. So I missed what could have become another EPIC DYNO FAIL 🙁
