Slammed Rat Rod Volkswagen THING

Never thought I would see a Slammed RAT ROD Volkswagen THING but, here it is a Slammed VW Thing. It was actually kind of cool looking in it’s own way however the amount of rust was a bit much and it’s not an Air Ride. How it sit is how it rides-HARD!

This show happens once a year in Bound Brook at a Volkswagen shop my brother worked at decades ago. However a lot of VW’s show up for this event including some other Air Cooled cars such a Citroen 2CV. Nice show I like to stop at as it is only 12 or so miles from where I live. Makes for a nice day 🙂

Just got an update on this show as the garage has now shut down from being a Air Cooled Volkswagen Vehicle shop. From what I over heard the show if now a few hundred feet away at a Flower Shop That is a good thing as it is not far away from the original location in case anyone was looking for the show.

Unfortunately I forgot to go to the last official show at the garage location 🙁 So I thought it was going to be a dead and gone event until I overheard the new location next door. Now if I can remember it I will show up. Actually it will be a lot easier now as one of the better Turbo Volkswagen Beetles that shows up there is on Facebook and friended me.

So with that being said I can hopefully get to the next show and get some good footage if enough people can find the show this year? I did not see this Thing the last time I went as it was for sale at this show, so who knows if it is going to show up again or not?
