What would you pic?

Turbo vs Supercharged Sand Rails is not something I would get to see on the East Coast. Here is a rear view of a Twin Turbo 454 LSX Sand Rail compared to a Supercharged Sand Rail both with over 1200HP ripping through the Desert

Always wanted to have a Sand Rail when I was out in Cali and Nevada but of course I wouldn’t ever score a ride like either of these two 😯

When you watch the Turbo part of the video and see the Sand coming at the camera cause the Buggy is doing a Wheelie you think Wow, it must be nice to have that kind of power! Then you see the Supercharged part of the Vid and it is sticking the back end in the Sand it is pulling the front wheels up so Hard 👿 you have to wonder

So about the only thing I could ever really be able to use something like either of these two sand rails for would be Forked River? That or throw a set of Slicks on them and take them to Englishtown, Island Dragway or Atco. More than likely you could do some real damage at any of those dragstrips with either of these 2 sand rails.

Actually, you would have to stop and think about it a bit too. With this kind of Horsepower and the fact that they weigh pretty much nothing, what kind of trap speeds are they going to pull?
I mean 1200HP but, then again they have crappy aerodynamics so that would slow them down a lot. 60 foot times should be pretty good, however. That and the 1/8 miles times should be quite insane too.

Well you are going to need a parachute and upgrade the brakes for sure. I really don’t think I would be wanting to trap 170 miles per hour or more in something as light and twitchy as this 🙁
