Killdozer the original movie
Here it is Killdozer!
Killdozer the original movie is here for anyone to watch. I have to watch it again as it has been that long since I have seen it 😛
This 1974 movie was a Horror adaption of an original 1944 novella by Theodore Sturgeon. The film has a somewhat of a cult following now.
The basic plot- The usual meteorite crashes to Earth long ago gets buried. A group of construction men are taken to the uninhabited island where said meteor had crashed so long ago. They are boated there to make an airstrip for an oil company.
The foreman and bulldozer driver unearth the meteor not knowing what they have done. The Caterpillar D9 that is used to move the meteor becomes possessed by a blue light emitted from the meteor. The foreman falls sick as he was close to the meteor at the time of it’s moving. Of course, the Caterpillar then becomes possessed in the way that Christine was in the self-named movie “Christine” of which we had a clone car at our dealership!
Of the 6 construction workers that had come to the Island for the oil company are reduced to just 2 in fairly short order. Still unknown to the other what the problem is or what can be done. The relief crew is not due to arrive so the remaining men convict the D9 Dozer of murder and try to decide of a way to execute it?
The machine is too big to Hang and also to big to put into a gas chamber. So a way to execute the machine was finally figured out an old steel Marsden Matting used to create a temporary aircraft runway during WWII was left on the island.
I do not wish to tell any more spoilers as you just have to watch this cult movie to get the full effect.
