Yes you read that right, they are still out there because this is a Barn Find Hemi Challenger found in 2013
Barn Find Hemi
I mean this is a dream find for any Mopar fan to have found. Seriously to have a Challenger that even though it has a bad quarter and the bottom of the front fenders have rot it’s an incredible survivor find! Yes the drivers front seat has a rip big whoop, everything else is all just a surface rust and aftermarket instead of original rims. Even the original factory exhaust geez
My last 71 RT challenger had a 440 instead of the 340 it came with along with the 727 instead of the four-speed so this car has me beat by a mile!
However looking at what this car is and it’s value is all fine. Now if I was going to make a clone so to speak of this car I am not so sure how I would go about doing it these days Hemi Challenger Interior
So say I could find a decent Challenger or even Cuda shell. Would I want to hunt down a real Hemi block at a swapmeet or by one of Mopars new castings? Either way you have a Elephant in weight in the front of your car now. Sure it will drop jaws when you pop the hood at the car shows but, it it all that
If you have a GM or even a Fox Body Ford product one the newest things to do is put a LQ4 or LSX engine in the car and boost it. You will het tons of Horsepower and do it on the cheap to boot. I have a friend that has a Barracuda and he put a new gen Hemi into it with a 6 Pack carb setup on it and it makes some serious HP Now think if you put some boost into it what you could get out of it and at less weight too
Located in Central NJ I wind up at lots of Car Events. Be it at Englishtown, Island or Atco Dragstrips or Somerville Main Street on Friday nights. If it involves High Performance cars I am most likely at the event!
