Ford GT eats a GTR on Top End

Seems the new king isn’t

So when this Ford GT eats a GTR on Top End you actually get to see a killer flame while it upshifts at around 228kmh. Tell me this isn’t flying 😛

I had a hand in building 2 of these engines quite a few years ago. Not the old school kind of GT40 but, the new MOD engine Ford GT’s. I was told the one GT engine was going into a Ford Street Rod for a celebrity too.

Not knowing exactly who it was being built for kind of stank until I saw Tim Allen showing off a ’50 Ford with a GT engine that was custom built for it. He was showing it off for Jay Leno and I remembered being told that the GT engine I built the short block for was supposed to be going into a 1950 Ford of some kind. What are the coincidences?

Anyway aside from all that, whoever built the engine in this GTR stomping Ford GT did a heck of a job! They are Supercharged from the factory but, something (the afterflame) tells me that this thing is now Turbocharged and very well should be putting out way north of 1000 Horsepower!
There was also a Porsche 997 Turbo racing this GT35 GTR that is not really in the video much. So we are talking some wing nuts racing on a public highway at well over 228 kilometers per hour 😯

Not suggesting that anyone try to top this, now am I thinking that anyone could without some deep pockets in the first place! I mean we are talking cars that cost well over $100,000 American Dollars in the first place. Then they have who knows how much into some serious engines. Well I am talking the Ford GT at least because the Porsche could very well be stock or something?
