How Big is Big?

What would you do if you saw an Engine 2 or 3 times the size of your house coming down the road on a trailer?
This engine happens to be built by MAN a large Diesel building firm from Europe. This particular engine was built for Australia and was positioned in Alice Springs along with 2 other engines used to produce electrical power.
Wait 2 other engines you are thinking to yourself 😕 How much power do they produce if you need 3 of them. Well this V12 multi fuel engine is capable of 15,690 Horse Power! That is a Ton of power but seeing as this engine is huge by large it must not turn fast so how much Torque are we talking then, how about about 164,800 lb-ft 😯 More than enough to pull the biggest tree stump you have ever seen out of the ground I would say 😛
The engine specs come out to be 20.08 bore and 23.62 inch stroke, giving this V12 model humongous displacement of 1,470.8 liters, and in SAE 89,756 cubic inches! So you can somewhat see why it only has a 500RPM limit. It runs on either liquified natural gas or diesel fuel to produce those astronomical numbers. So watching the video shows the 6 day trip from the dock to the Owen Springs Power Station where it was installed with exacting precision!
