27k original mile 1959 Continental

This is the find of a century pretty much and was found at the Englishtown Swap Meet to boot! It came from a garage where it was abandoned by a family member decades ago.

All Original Continental
Killer Conti

This is an original garage kept 1959 Lincoln Continental with 27,000 original miles on the clock believe it or not. Aside from the passenger door having some garage damage it is all original and in gorgeous shape! It belonged to someone who storred it away in a garage and had since passed away from what I was told. Then it found it’s way to a swap meet where a NJ car used car dealer picked it up and took it back to the shop to clean it up for resale.

I had the pictures of the interior that where incredible but, as usual they got either lost or were deleted at some point 🙁 The car was worked on for a while along with a big cleaning that it so deserved and needed. Then when it was started after sitting for some time again it split the oil filter from excess oil pressure for some reason 😕 After a new filter was put on to replace the blown one it did not have the problem again. So could it have been the old age of the filter that let it blow up?

The trunk was cleaned out and amazingly all the factory matts were there and undamaged. Along with the spare which I do believe was never used so it still had the nubs on the rubber. The interior was in awesome condition as it was never sun-faded spending much of it’s like in a garage. How the person could buy this and never drive it for that many years is beyond me. It only came out after he died and the family either discovered it or had been waiting for him to die so they could sell it off 🙄
