Yes that’s right these cars are just parked and abandoned by guess who 😕
American troops thats who just left these cars 😯 When they were stationed in Japan they brought these muscle cars over to drive around in. However when their deployment ran out and they headed home it looks like they couldn’t afford to bring them home with them 🙁
When you stop and look you have anything from big block Mustangs with 429’s to split bumper Z/28 then a Firebird Trans Am and even a ’69 307 Camaro just to name a few. Surprised nobody has tried to grab these and Restore em or do something with them instead of letting them just rot 👿 Well that would be my best guess as no info is provided with the video.
I have had people claim that these were not left by GI’s but, that would make the best sense. Seriously why would there be American muscle cars brought to Japan just to be put into a Junkyard of some sorts 😕 I doubt a collector brought them over and just decided to abandon them. Not considering how much it would cost to ship them and pay all the tax to own them in another county.
Maybe someone wanted to start their own museum or something then? Yeah I will say no on that account to. Especially looking at the age of some of these machines. It would take quite a long time for them to degrade to this extent for the most part. That and a collector sure isn’t going to buy cars this junky to transport them over to Japan either.
Still think the Military service men brought them and couldn’t afford to bring em home.

Located in Central NJ I wind up at lots of Car Events. Be it at Englishtown, Island or Atco Dragstrips or Somerville Main Street on Friday nights. If it involves High Performance cars I am most likely at the event!
I actually had a similar issue. I was stationed at Fort Carson Colorado and my black ’71 mustang broke down. I couldn’t effort to fix it so I had to leave it on post. It was a mach 1 model and had a 351c.
What broke that you had to leave it? Or was it that long ago that the cars were still dime a dozen?
