This was a cool looking Bug but, a VW Beetle on EMPI rims Slammed! 😕

Seriously I am thinking back about it and I think this is a fake aging paint job? If you have seen the Powerblock Shows on Sat and Sunday they showed how to layer paint for this effect.

They go and sand it down to make it look weathered and old. So I get the feeling that this VW Beetle on EMPI rims Slammed was done to this car for a barn find effect? You know the good old look now of trying to show that you found a desirable car in a barn. Then you throw a set of rims on said car so you can bring it out in it’s as found sort of condition.

At least this is the latest craze with Muscle Cars or just about anything you can find at this point in time. Then you have the other decision on weather to restore the car or not? This is now being frowned upon as you can never un-restore a car. Yes you can return it to stock but, not back to original. It can only be original once and only be low milage too.

However this is neither here nor there with this car. As I said it is looking like it fake weathered to me. Not that I am against it mind you, more that I am not that impressed by it. Or am I in that I did take a video of this car and wrote an entire blog about it now didn’t I?

I have seen people do wraps on cars with this look and I almost like that a bit better. It is an obvious look as you want it to be known that it is fake. Not like this Beetle that wants you to think it could actually be this way if you get what I’m trying to say?
